Tests Suck

Personality tests, D&D alignment tests, political alignment tests, etc.; while people really seem to enjoy them, they're all trash. They're not useful because all they really do is tell you what you told them, often telling you what "label" you should be using for yourself, which is also useless.

On every one of these tests, you will find a lot of questions that are massively open to interpretation; buzzwords such as "fascism," "freedom," "socialism," "theocracy," "conservativism," "religion," "church," "extremism," and "tradition," to name a few. You will also find a lot of repetitive questions reformed with different vocabulary, and when you give out contradictory responses, the test doesn't "point it out," it just goes on to average the results.

Moreover, political tests often introduce external factors such as the "country you live in," which adds an instability to the results depending on what country you actually live in, what's going on in there, and whether or not you even accept the concept of "countries" and nationalism (such as in my case). It's also common to see incomplete comparisons and vague questions such as: "Does democracy increase the risk of corruption?" Compared to what, exactly? Monarchy? Anarchy? Theocracy? Each ideology has a different response, and "democracy" can be both a greater or lesser evil when compared to each.

As for IQ tests, they don't make sense either, really. I'm not saying it's completely useless (as only a retard would claim that), it's a very useful tool to measure the intellectual abilities of some people (or groups of people, like women and minorities) to some degree, which further confirms certain "stereotypes." But, IQ is a superstition; the main problem with any sort of intelligence test is that it's impossible to create the test without appealing to circular reasoning. The only way to establish that your test accurately measures intelligence is to show that people who score higher on it are "smarter" outside of it, which means that you have to already agree on who's "smarter" for a wide range of samples to establish the validity of the test, but you can't. Which of two people is smarter is wildly open to debate, in fact, what it even means to be "smarter" is wildly open to debate in of itself! The concept of intelligence isn't a bunch of numbers, yet many people still misunderstand the point of IQ tests.

In any case, I'm not writing this because I scored retardedly low on the IQ test or because I have no personality, but because all of these tests are total garbage. The only thing that will make people stop making them is if people stop taking them. Put aside your desire for amusement for 5 minutes and think about who you are instead of letting a program decide that in an inexcusably incorrect way.
